Speaks at Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Summit
Cambridge, MA April 9, 2013— The Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Summit was hosted by Hult Business School on April 9 and focused on global business, emerging markets, and their approach towards changing the world. Syed Gilani, CEO and President of TABS Group International (TGI), and Z-Square Technology (ZST) contributed in a panel discussion on the matter.
Located at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center (NERD) in Cambridge MA, the summit brought together professionals, venture capitalists and students from surrounding areas to interact on the current movement towards investment and entrepreneurship. Keynote presenter, Johnny Monsarrat, an award-winning public speaker and founder of Hard Data Factory, discussed mistakes growing companies make, while panelists include Vanita Shastri, Executive Director of TiE Boston, CEO of RVC-USA Axel Tillmann and Syed Gilani talked about defining emerging markets. Other topics focused on the impact of entrepreneurship on a global scale, the use of mobile device technology growth as well as the challenges and opportunities in Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA).
Mr. Gilani stressed the importance of understanding the changing needs of the market and taking initiative. An emerging market for one might not be the right emerging market for another. He also noted that failure should not be looked down upon, but more so as a learning process to an improved approach. The audience responded well to Mr. Gilani’s performance noting his aggression, passion, and fearless attitude towards realizing his dreams.
Located in Kendall Square, an award winning professional community, home to MIT and close to Harvard University, the event attracted a high quality audience. Organization of the summit was led by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club, Finance Club, and European Business Club at Hult Business School.
